Vitamin A Deficiency With Night Blindness
Vitamin A deficiency can lead to night blindness, a condition in which the eyes are unable to adapt properly to low-light or dark environments. Patients commonly experience difficulty seeing at night or in dim lighting.
Vitamin A plays an essential role in maintaining normal vision, particularly the function of the retina. Severe or prolonged deficiency may also cause dry eyes, corneal damage, and permanent vision impairment if left untreated.
